Recovery Process from
Alar Base Reduction
There is no external dressing applied to the nose after alar base reductions. Small sutures will be removed from the nostril wall approximately a week after surgery.
If desired, you can plan a week of recovery from work, school, and social activities, but some patients choose to continue working and hide their sutures under a surgical mask.
A nostril narrowing procedure results in none or minimal bruising. Light physical activity can be resumed after a week, but you should refrain from heavy lifting for two weeks to prevent nosebleeds.

Risks of Alar
Base Reduction:
Like any cosmetic plastic surgery procedure, there are some small risks involved with narrowing the nostril base with an alar base reduction surgery. Some of the risks include:
- Pain
- Bleeding
- Infection
- Scar
- Asymmetries
- Unsatisfactory cosmetic result.
- Bruising and swelling
- Redness
- Some pain and/or numbness
Finally, like any cosmetic procedure, the most important risk is not being satisfied with the result. After a proper consultation that includes a complete examination and photo evaluation, our surgeons can generally produce the results desired by the patient.
However, we do not control the response of tissues to surgery, and sometimes repeated surgeries are necessary to achieve a more evident result.

Alar Base Reduction Surgery
Nostril reduction surgery typically takes about an hour to complete.
In general, the alar base reduction procedure is less expensive that rhinoplasty. Rhinoplasty, however, is a broader procedure encompassing the entire nose area whereas the alar base just focuses on one area of the nose.
Expect to see results from your surgery immediately.
Yes, the surgical procedure is permanent, however natural aging may change the shape of your nose over time.

Magnifique clinique ! Très bon personnelle les receptionnistes ,infirmieres et le medecin Dr.Moubayed forme une excellente équipe. A l’écoute de leur clientèle. Si vous desirez confier votre visage a un bon medecin je conseille Dr. Moubayed il est tres gentil, il exerce tres bien son metier, rassurant, a lecoute de vos attentes.Il ma fait une bichectomie et une lipposuccion du cou et du menton, les resultats sont incroyables ,aucune cicatrices, bonne guerison, pas de douleur !
